Enter your pickup and destination in the app or your browser. ARK shows you the entrance via Street View so you know exactly where to wait. Request for now, or schedule up to 7 days ahead.
If you have access needs — a wheelchair, a scooter, a service animal, help to the door — set them once in your profile. Every ride is matched to them from then on.
Pick your car and see the price
Standard, XL, Premium or wheelchair accessible — each with its fare for this trip, before you confirm. A wheelchair-accessible car is one of the choices, and it costs the same as Standard.
If you told us about a wheelchair or scooter, you only see the cars that can carry it. Otherwise every tier is yours to pick.
Get matched, watch them arrive
ARK finds the nearest vetted driver in the car you picked. Where a ride needs a ramp, lift or tie-downs, that equipment is verified before the driver can go online.
Track your driver live on the map. Large accessible controls, full VoiceOver and TalkBack support, and haptic alerts at every state change.
Ride, pay, rate
Payment happens automatically at trip end — no terminal. Rate your driver and, if it applied, rate the vehicle’s accessibility separately so future riders benefit.
Your accessibility rating feeds ARK's quality loop. Drivers with low accessibility scores are reviewed before they can continue accepting rides.

Apply and get vetted
Download ARK Driver, pass a background check, and submit your vehicle for inspection. Operating a wheelchair-accessible vehicle? Add your securement certificate. Applications are reviewed within 48 hours.
Go online, receive ride offers
Toggle online when you’re ready. Nearby requests for your car class appear as offer cards, with any access needs highlighted so you know what the trip involves before you accept.
Complete the trip and get paid
Navigate with Google Maps. Mark arrived, start, complete. Stripe pays out your earnings — minus ARK's 10% platform fee, shown transparently.
Common questions
- No. A wheelchair-accessible ride costs the same as a Standard ride on the same route. XL and Premium carry a premium because they are bigger or better-appointed cars — never because of anything to do with a rider’s needs.
- Every driver submits a background check, vehicle inspection and insurance before their first ride; drivers of wheelchair-accessible vehicles also hold a securement certificate. ARK reviews and approves each application.
- You're notified immediately and not charged. ARK keeps retrying automatically, or you can schedule for a future time when driver availability is higher.
- When you enter a pickup address, ARK fetches a Google Street View image of the accessible entrance — so you know exactly where the ramp or step-free door is before your driver arrives.
