Funding & subsidy
Many ARK rides are funded — not out of pocket.
ARK is built for funded medical transport. We work with provincial disability programs, insurance, and care organizations so eligible trips are covered, split across funding sources at quote time.
Ways your rides may be funded
ODSP & provincial disability programs
If you receive ODSP or another provincial disability benefit, some medical transportation costs may be covered. ARK can bill eligible trips directly.
Insurance & extended health
Some private and extended-health plans reimburse accessible medical transport. We can provide the documentation you need to claim.
Assistive Devices & care programs
Programs that support mobility and independence may apply to recurring appointment travel such as dialysis and therapy.
Care-organization billing
Clinics, agencies, and community organizations can be invoiced directly and split fares across funding sources at quote time.

We split the fare at quote time
Eligible costs are routed to the right funding source before you ride, so covered trips stay covered.
Ride with no surprises
You see exactly what (if anything) you pay — and never an accessibility surcharge.

- Yes. Care organizations can be invoiced directly, and a single trip’s fare can be split across multiple funding sources at quote time.
- For covered trips routed to a funding source, you may pay nothing out of pocket. Any rider-paid portion is shown clearly before you ride — and accessibility is never surcharged.
- We can provide itemized trip records suitable for reimbursement claims. Ask us about the format your program requires.
